Jersey Shore Cosmetics has introduced a
natural, vegan Purifying Clay Masque ($55),
a powder formula enriched with vitamins and
minerals to exfoliate, remove toxins, tone the
skin and minimize pores. Varieties include
papaya for oily skin, green tea for anti-aging,
activated charcoal for sensitive, acne-prone skin
or troubled skin, and dandelion for dry skin.
Colgate-Palmolive has acquired PCA Skin and EltaMD in two
separate transactions; terms were not disclosed. These acquisitions
provide Colgate-Palmolive with entry into the professional skin care
category, while complementing its existing global personal care
businesses. The combined estimated 2017 net sales for PCA Skin
and EltaMD were approximately $100 million.
Ian Cook, Colgate’s chairman, president and CEO, commented,

strengthen our global personal care business. Their complementary
product portfolios and sales forces, strong professional support
and similar distribution channels will advance Colgate’s presence
in the premium global skin care category. Furthermore, these

benefit their patients.”
The financial terms have not been disclosed and these transactions
are expected to have no impact on earnings in 2018.
Cosmogen has created the ridoki massage tool that
accompanies the Sisleÿa anti-aging cream by Sisley.
According to Cosmogen, the ridoki was developed to
prepare the eye and lip contour before application of the
treatment. The handle is white PCTG/UV varnish, the
roller handle is white PCTG, the logo was applied via
gold hot stamping and the roller is a gold stainless steel.
RPD M&H Plastics collaborated Utopia Skincare to
develop the packaging for Utopia’s range of anti-aging
skin care products. The tubes showcase the details of
the products via silk-screen print. The Utopia logo is
foil blocked on the tube.
Gattefossé, following the rising demand for starter/demo
formulas, introduced its Inspiration concepts at the 10th
edition of Cosmetagora in Paris. The concept comprised eight
formulations featuring new textures generated by Gattefossé
lipochemical ingredients in unique configurations. Formulations
included “Ice, Ice, Baby”, a day cream with an icy freshness,
and a “Liquid Balm” with surprising sensorality. Gattefossé also
displayed “Coco Sweat”, an antiperspirant powder that must be
diluted in water, ideal for the routine of athletic consumers.
