Verescence has unveiled its largest glass-melting furnace at the company’s flagship plant
in Mers-les-Bains. The new furnace and other
improvements are part of the “Excellence 2018”
plan that includes a total budget of € 30 million
for plant renovations, of which € 11 million
was for the reconstruction of the furnace. The
new furnace, which is dedicated to bottles
made of Xtra Flint glass, will reportedly help
Verescence lower its environmental impact by
reducing energy consumption by 15% and
CO2 emissions by 40%. Its output capacity is
700,000 bottles per day.
In a recent study, Lipotec examined the ability of its EyeSeryl peptide
to minimize the eye bag volume in men. The study was performed
on male volunteers between 30 and 65 years old with prominent eye
bags. These men applied a cream containing 1% EyeSeryl on one eye
contour and a placebo cream on the other twice a day for 28 days.
Under-eye puffiness volume decreased by as much as 29.7% after 28
days, and the overall appearance of the eye contour visibly improved, as
observed through digital photographs. According to Lipotec, 90% of the
volunteers positively rated the treatment and were willing to recommend
the product as an efficient anti-eyebag treatment.

A. N. Other is a signature fragrance line for men and women,
conceived by Gilad Amozeg and Ariella Appelbaum and based
in Miami. According to the brand, the “founders considered
the decades-old traditional approach by the leading perfume
conglomerates to be stagnant and withering, and therefore set out to
challenge the conventional wisdom of today’s fragrance industry by
carefully crafting a luxury brand with a new story for today’s millennial.”
The brand has responded by creating a gender-neutral line built with
ethically sourced ingredients.
The brand’s perfumes retail for $50–80 for 50 ml. The initial
fragrances include Oriental 2018, formulated by perfumer David Apel,
and mixing notes of driftwood, a cannabis accord, and citrus, coffee
and chocolate notes; Woody 2018, formulated by Patricia Biulodeau,
which includes notes of sandalwood and pear; gin cocktail-inspired
Fresh 2018, formulated by Carlos Viñals, including notes of juniper,
ginger and metallic musks; and Floral 2018, formulated by Nathalie
Benareau, which includes a base of dark leather and jasmine scents,
with notes of cotton candy and herbal mate.
